We received our 501(c)(3) status several weeks ago, and we are excited! What that means, obviously, is that any financial gift donated to Nellie’s Schoolhouse is tax deductible. We need funds primarily for scholarships, programming, training, evaluation, and yes, parts of our operating budget.
We are serving over 15 children in our first year. Pretty darn good! We visit Downingtown Middle School once per week, Goshen Friends School twice a month, and are currently working with five children in the area. We have five wonderful volunteers who are working tirelessly to teach our children valuable skills and whose dogs are loving canines who bring joy to all those children that they meet. Nellie’s Schoolhouse is growing, and we hope you become a member of our team, either as an involved family, a volunteer or as a generous contributor to our terrific program.
