Starting in late June, Nellie’s Schoolhouse began working with Camp Pegasus, Great Expectations Together, Camp Kinney, Carousel Connections and the TALK Institute and School.
Camp Pegasus
For the past two weeks, we have made several appearances at Camp Peguasus, a summer camp at Rosemont College.
At Camp Pegasus, children with ADHD, autism, learning differences, and other social challenges improve their social skills and make new friends.

Gus and Zeke’s Visits With Danny
Back in December, our dogs were named Citizens of the Week by the Philadelphia Citizen. The Citizen’s article features Danny who has developed close friendships with Zeke and Gus, two of our dogs.
Danny and the dogs are still enjoying their regular visits this summer:
The Kinney Center
The Kinney Center is another of our stops. This education center helps those with autism to live better lives. Here are some photos from a recent visit:
Carousel Connections
Gus traveled to Linwood Park in Ardmore with some young adults from Carousel Connections. Carousel Connections provides vocational training self care, communication, and community living skills to children and adults with mild intellectual disabilities.
On our final day working with Carousel Connections, the four graduates received certificates of appreciation after working with our dogs this summer.
Zeke Getting Ready for the Day
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos of Zeke getting ready to begin his day at Nellie’s.
We are having a great time traveling around the area! Stay tuned for more summertime updates.
